he is sooo adorable! this is He Pingping, the world's smallest walking man.

he recently died in march of this year :( he was 21.

• only 228 days 'till VoDT is released :D soooo stoked over here...
• pulling out hedges causes injury no matter how skilled you are
• i regularly check spareoom.net and ms webmistress still hasn't updated!
• my sis finally updated her blog: clicky!
• the other sis has not...: clicky-squared!
• the sabres (who are amazing btw) finally won again to keep the bruins (bears: laaaame...) from going on to the next finals round
• rebecca's bro was at church today and i didn't even recognize him... i thought he looked like john cooper from skillet ;P lol
• i am the master bball knocker-outer of the world
• it was supposed to rain today but it didn't and i am overjoyed!!!
• i am soooo hungry and i already had a roast bf samich, an apple, and popcorn... and some angel food cake (looooovelovelove)
• tonight my second favorite show is on!! guess what it is! ;D
• i'm writing a persuasion paper on abortion for my amazing-but-awful lit class... maybe i'll post what i have so far in a minute...
• the revs traded 2 of their best players (and 2 of my faves :( ) to the col rapids!! golly, who on EARTH came up with that idea?!?!?! and somewhere around 6 of their vets are out (injuries), including the MOST-AMAZING-GOALIE-OF-ALL-TIME!!!! yeah, i'm a little frustrated... i didn't even want to watch the game yesterday... D: and they lost. brilliant.

I want a go/no go on Great Expectations?

Sorry, guys, it's a no go :( So Great Expectations was in practically Aztec-ian English and sooooo long, and it is now sitting in the returns bucket at the library. Maybe I'll try and read it again, but for now, it's a no go. I was about half way through, and there was nothing that really struck me that would make it a classic... besides that it was written by Charles Dickens... (btdubs, he is an EcCeNtRiC writer ;P) The beginning was good, but then it was just long. (Why do i keep finding myself quoting Night at the Museum 2? lol) So maybe you should read it. If you can stand endless meaningless monologue and a "forever plot"... so i'm pretending that's my review ;P
Now I need to say farewell b/c my fam is leaving NOW to go to ny b/c my grandpa had quadruple bypass surgery on monday. *prayer, please, for continued healing and NO INFECTIONS!* so i'm gonna try to find The Giver somewhere in this house so i can read it on the 8-ish hour ride! ta-ta!

Carrot Cake Recipe

2 c. sugar  

1 1/2 c. Canola (or Wesson) oil

4 eggs

2 c. flour

2 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. cinnamon

2 tsp. baking powder

1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

3 c. raw shredded or grated carrots

~Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

~Beat sugar and oil.

~Add eggs and cream well.

~Sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and baking powder.

~Add dry ingredients to first mixture. Blend well.

~Add nuts (optional) and carrots.

~Bake for approximately 45 minutes.

FROSTING

1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar

8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese

1/4 stick oleo, softened

2 tsp. vanilla

~Beat well.

(Recipe for frosting may be cut in half.)

This is an amazing recipe I made the other day... well, twice. The first time I made it in cake form and it was awesome! It was really moist, but my mom thought it was too sugary. (We didn't use this recipe for frosting, we just used Betty Crocker whipped cream cheese frosting...so I don't know how good this recipe is.) So the second time I made it, I only put in 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and it was less moist. Personally, I liked it better the first time (following the recipe), but that's just me :D Y'all should ALL make it, and tell me what'cha think. Everybody needs a little carrot cake in their life :)

[I got this recipe from an old book called "Recipes", hehe lol, and probably you can't get it anywhere because it's "contributed by friends of Bethany Home in Lancaster, New York". I think we probably got it from my grandma or something...]
