not much news...

mmmmm so you didn't see me on Thursday, meaning i didn't get the coveted letter... but there is yet hope! ashlee's came ten days after her acceptance letter, and it's only been seven so far... *fingers crossed*

but other stuff- it rained for like four days or something (i don't know, i was sick for most of them, i'll say something about that in a sec) and the water decided it wanted a new home so it chose our basement! yay us! what a privilege, let me tell ya. thankfully, i've been able to escape vacuum duty becaaaaaaause:
i was sick with a 102(degrees) for two days, friday and saturday, and then i was lower, and then i was lower, and it just kept going down! so now i'm a 95... yeeeah, a little weird, especially considering normal is 98.6... i feel much better, however, and today i was up and about, going to my lit class and everything, which leads me to my next subject: for my Lit/Writing class i have to write a short story. A ShOrT sToRy!?!?!?! aaaaaahhhh!! and i had 2 days to write it because i was sick Wed. to Sun.! oooooh my gosh... i read that short stories are the hardest to write and from my little experience, i would agree... ugh.
ok, last subject: my camera. my wonderful Canon 20d with a 17-85mm macro lens... that needs to be serviced!?! *sobs* the lens has problems... it's so sad... and now we're doing some of the interesting assignments for photography class like head shots and full body shots w/props... i have to get it serviced before our Boston field trip, too... cuz i'll be taking LOTS of pics...

soooo i got a camera! it's a canon 20d and i love it!

Water balloons!!

The past three days here have been the hottest of the summer- yesterday was in the hundreds, I think! So today we decided to play with some water balloons! I didn't get very many pictures (cuz I was playing with the water balloons, and what is the first word?? Water, right. Water + camera = not good.) But here is one of, rather the only pic of the balloons:

For this school year i'm taking a Photography class and I need a camera! So I'm working on getting a DSLR, specifically this one. I'm buying it from one of Tori's teachers for $400!! And he's giving it to me with a battery, battery charger, a lens, and a 2gb memory card!! Compared to a new one on Amazon: I save $1,598.93! Woopee considering that i really don't want to spend more than $400 on a camera right now... ;P
